Billets

Quality inspection involves systematic procedures used to examine, measure, and test manufactured products to ensure they meet the required specifications and standards. At K. Naran Extrusions Pvt. Ltd., these inspections are carried out by experienced quality professionals who verify product compliance through detailed testing and analysis. To ensure the structural integrity and reliability of the casting, both macro and micro testing methods are regularly performed on cast billets on a random sampling basis.

A billet is a semi-finished metal product with either a round or square cross-section, typically produced through continuous casting processes. Billets serve as the base material for further manufacturing operations such as extrusion, rolling, and drawing. Often referred to as bar stock, billets possess a defined grain structure that allows the metal to be processed into more complex shapes and finished components. Since billets are intermediate products, they require additional processing before becoming final goods.
