Silicon Red Brass
Silicon Red Brass is a special lead-free brass alloy that complies with ELV and RoHS regulations. It is designed to withstand high mechanical loads while offering good corrosion resistance and excellent machinability.
This alloy is suitable for the production of machined components and drop-forged parts. ECOBRASS is available in machining brass as well as hot-stamping quality, making it versatile for different manufacturing processes.
The material is also marketed under the designation CUPHIN for sanitary applications. It meets the requirements of ISO 6509 for dezincification resistance, ensuring durability in demanding environments. Additionally, the material is approved for products that come into contact with drinking water, as per the 4MS positive list.
