Lead Free Brass
Lead-free brass offers good corrosion resistance, moderately high strength, and in certain forms, excellent ductility. Its hot-worked forms also exhibit good strength. This type of brass is commonly known as Muntz Metal.
Lead-free brass is mainly available in 60/40, 63/37, 65/35, and 70/30 copper-to-zinc (Cu/Zn) ratios. Due to its ductile nature, this alloy is well suited for manufacturing processes such as blanking, riveting, bending, hot forging, and pressing.
